Merlot – from the French “merle” because the Merline were fond of the sweetness of the grape – was born in Bordeaux and found its natural habitat in the upper Maremma Laziale in the 19th century, to become one of the most cultivated grape varieties in Italy.
Vinified from a single-varietal blend with brief maceration on the skins, Passione degli Dèi is a bold, elegant, and refined wine with complex aromas. On the palate, it is velvety and full-bodied, with a smooth, rounded flavor. Its intense red color reveals aromas of wild berries and cherry, with vegetal and balsamic notes.
Perfect to accompany:
cured meat appetizers, savoury first courses, roasts, boiled meats, grilled meats, red and white meats, game, mature cheeses and cooked vegetables.
Passione degli Dèi should be served at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C, to savour its freshness and aromas.
